Viking helmet 9th century

The original is named "Gjermundbu" from the site where it was found in the mid-20th century in Norway.

It is a type of helmet called glasses very popular in the Nordic typology.

The original was found fragmented into eight pieces but even so it is one of the most complete helmets of that time.

Currently the original is in the museum in Oslo.

Ours is a fairly faithful replica but with a chainmail protector.

Inside it has a natural leather fastening system and also some leather straps to hold it under the chin that helps a lot when wearing it.
