MADRID HISTORICAL FENCING SCHOOL The EHM is a school specialized in the practice of Fencing as Art, and although there are competitions as an educational element, its focus is the teaching of sword handling in its different forms in order to offer serious and quality training in Art. of the Sword. The EHM founded in 2002 was the first historical fencing hall in Spain and has directly or indirectly trained all the professors and teachers of the Spanish Association of Ancient Fencing. ESGRIMA HEREDERO It was born in 2016 as a company dedicated to the training of fencers in the modalities of scenic and sport fencing. We design and adapt choreographies for shows and theatrical, television or cinematographic productions, as well as animations for events. Our goal is to bring fencing as a cultural and sports discipline to all the people who have ever dreamed of living “those adventures” in which we saw our heroes and heroines wield swords and be the protagonists of their stories or involve shooters in the technique and tactics of sport, developing their strategic approach and their ability to face challenges. In the area of sports fencing we work mainly with the foil: it is a weapon with a very technical character and with great precision that facilitates the learning of other weapons. In scenic fencing we work with weapons used from the Middle Ages to the seventeenth or eighteenth century: medieval swords and shields, rapier swords and daggers, sabers, foils, sprats ... depending on the setting and the period in which it takes place. DUO BELLUM SALAS The Duo Bellum Salas are the place where the ACEA mainly carries out activities to disseminate historical European Martial Arts (HEMA: Historical European Martial Arts) through talks, conferences, courses and classes whose specialty is historical fencing. SWORDS OF CALATRAVA FENCING CLUB (Ciudad Real and Valdepeñas) The Order of Calatrava is a military and religious order, founded in the Kingdom of Castile in the 12th century by the abbot Raimundo de Fitero, with the initial objective of protecting the town of Calatrava, located near the current Ciudad Real. It belongs to the group of Cistercian orders and is currently only honorary and noble. U.M.H.A. URSA MAJOR HEMA ACADEMY Ursa Major is a HEMA / Historical Fencing and medieval interest group based in Perth, Western Australia. We train to hone our skills in a range of disciplines, including longsword, messer, dagger, and sword & buckler. In addition to training in a variety of weapon systems, and hosting and competing in local, national, & international tournaments - we also perform at public & private events, including medieval fayres. BARBASETTI MILITARY SABRE (since 1895) The year 2017 saw the foundation of the Barbasetti Military Sabre (since 1895) club under the auspices of the Czech Lands Salle d’Armes, Prague. Its aims are to research, study and teach the military sabre following the system of Luigi Barbasetti, using original period gear and arms, as well as the methodological manual Das Säbelfechten from 1899, which maestro Barbasetti published for use by the military fencing instructors of the Austro-Hungarian army, graduates of the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt (Theresianische Militärakademie Wiener Neustadt).
